Current Role

Cornell Tech Runway

My day job: venture capital with PhD founders launching deep-tech startups.

Illustration stand-in

I spend my days at Cornell Tech in NYC working in the Runway program, a venture capital/incubator role focused on helping PhD founders spin technologies out of universities to start companies.

I train scientists and technologists to become entrepreneurs, teach them to translate complex technology into viable businesses, and help them raise funding. The focus is deep tech and AI: hard-science companies with long development timelines and big potential.

This is where I learned how companies actually get built. It's also where most of my perspective on entrepreneurship comes from. I've watched hundreds of early-stage decisions go right and wrong up close.

If you're building in deep tech, working with PhD founders, or running an incubation/accelerator program, I'm always happy to compare notes.
